Welcome to our Group.
We are a group of interested citizens who want to learn more about Renewable Energy and Sustainability. Our goal is to foster discussion, networking, and action on these important issues. We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month from 7 to 9 pm at the Seattle First Presbyterian Church.
Join us in finding pathways to a more sustainable energy future.
Shinya Asami, Seattle Renewable Energy Meetup member, will be the main presenter on Slow Pyrolysis. He is involved with a Japanese company and is interested in creating a test site for a slow pyrolysis unit in the Seattle area. We will learn about the difference between fast and slow pyrolysis, the types of fuel for each and the resulting end products. Read more
What members are saying
“ All the devotees for renewable energy should join this group. Because it covers wide range of topics, and simply, solar and wind alone are not going to solve our energy problems. ”
“ I think the group we had was great! it was a nice mix of folks with diverse opinions and depth of knowledge. I hope your documentary is successful. I cannot wait to see clips. ”
