Habitat for Humanity

This month our featured speaker will be Kelly Morgan, Project Co-ordinator with Habitat for Humanity.

Kelly will introduce us to the mission of Habitat for Humanity, how they operate, and how they choose projects/families. Its easy to see the importance of such a valuable humanitarian cause however our our group is also interested in Renewable Energy and Sustainability so she will relate to us the ways in which they incorporate sustainability into their homes. Her discussion will also include the factors that influence their "green" decisions, and how their homes stack up against a standard such as Built Green. Following the meeting we will continue our new habit of offering refreshments and a time to socialize.
