 n Naval Weapons Station. Tanis is responsible for developing and implementi
 ng an energy management and water conservation program. Conducting research
  to find and develop energy and water conservation opportunities designed t
 o allow the Weapons Station meet mandated energy and water savings. Tanis i
 s a native of Charleston. he and is wife has three children. He received hi
 s Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Citadel. He is a regist
 ered professional engineer in SC\, certified energy manager\, certified bui
 lding official\, LEED accredited professional and has 30 plus years of expe
 rience in construction and facilities management.  \nTanis will be discussi
 ng the professional field of energy management and how it fits into today's
