Yes, we usually have the meetup on the 4th Saturday of each month. However, for September, we didn't want the meetup to conflict with the Fredericksburg Renewable Energy Roundup that is happening on the 4th weekend.

Is the time right for this meetup? The ones in the past have been earlier.

I am seriously wanting to convert my 55 gallon water heater over to a tankless water heater. I am amazed at how much energy my current water heater actually consumes. Any tips would be appreciated!

This was very helpful and informative. After the conversations started, I realized there are many people with extensive knowledge.
    •  Unfortunately the point of the meeting was lost due to the method of the presentation. Instead of attempting to run a 'new software' program straight-out of the gate, the presenter should have made a powerpoint presentation to make the points. We had to leave after an hour, so missed a lot, darn it. [Note our August TXU price per kWh was 12.30 cents. the Atmos gas was $11.08 per '000 CF] I am hoping to find out if there are others in the group who live up in Plano. I have an idea for the local area that I'd like to get a small group interested in discussing.
    •  What a passionate crowd! In addition to good interaction during the presentation, many stayed to talk informally afterwards. Rick rescued his presentation from lack of a rehearsal, by taking questions while the computer person searched for information. An initial review of his background and topics to be covered would have been helpful.
    •  Thanks for the great presentation, Rick! And as always, we had lots of excellent discussions that followed as well!
    •  Great! The presentation was informative and interesting. It facilitated discussion on a range of topics we all had interests in. Good to know about the Home Energy Rating process and how it can lead to improved home energy efficiency.
    •  We have such an exchange of information that everyone can benefit from to save money and save the environment.
    •  The presenter should have been better prepared for his own sake. It's hard to have much confidence when even the most basic questions couldn't be answered. Any presenter should at least have gone through the presentation once including AV aids. There weren't any technical problems, which are understandable. It was simply a lack of preparation.
