September MEETUP AGENDA
The September meetup has been scheduled for September 8, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. La Madalein Restaurant.

OUR GROUP WILL HAVE AN OUTDOOR SPACE !
At this meetup we will discuss transportation to and from the fair, room accomodations, exhibit and display options as well as how we can connect with other groups attending. Those wishing to attend should contact me as soon as possible so I may make room arrangements. The round-up organizers have reserved rooms at the Fredericksburg Inn at discount rates of 98.00 for a room with either 1 King size or two queensize beds or a suite for 123.00. These rooms get booked quickly so please let me know if you wish to attend. There is still room for 5 passengers in the SUV.

Hello group-
The July meetup has been scheduled for July 28th at 3:00 p.m.
The group will discuss methods used in todays construction allowing existing home owners to adapt energy efficfient products while maintaining the aesthetics of interior and exterior design.
Please plan to attend and offer your contributions to the group as well as reap the benefits of other members efforts.

SOUTHERN METHODIST UNIVERSITY GEOTHERMAL LAB PRESENTATION
HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICTS.

I have been notified that the slated presentation by SMUs Geothermal lab presentation has encountered scheduling conflicts that make it necessary to postpone the presentation to a future meetup to be announced at a later date. Although the presentation has been postponed the discussion of geothermal options will remain the focus of the meetup. I have been in contact with lab faculty and staff regarding a scientific presentation to our group at a later date and have received a positive response.

This meetup will also be concerned with the current plans for coal plant construction and the solar options available.

1. "WIND POWER"
A 40 minute Presentation (approx) with a question answer session.
This presentation should be extremely enlightning and fill in any
blanks members might have regading wind energy.

Q. How does wind power work?

A. Wind power system works briefly in the following manner:

If you are using 800 watts of power and the Wind Power System is producing 1000 watts, your utility meter runs backwards at 200 watts. If you are using 1200 watts and the system is producing 1000 watts your utility meter registers 200 watts.
The presentation includes pictures and explanations of the following: fininancial benefits of Wind Power, a "green" industry, initial installation of the Wind Power System, how it works, specifications and wiring diagrams, foundation installation, other benefits, etc.

2.CREATING INTEREST IN OUR GROUP AT "GREEN HOME TOUR"

At this meetup the group will also discuss ways to promote our group at the "GREEN HOME TOUR" in May.We will be able to give out literature and other items of energy efficient items and hopefully generate interest in our goals. BRING YOUR IDEAS AND JOIN US FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO INCREASE MEMBERSHIP!

1. Economical solar options and solutions for home owners.
2. The latest innovations in energy efficient electric generating systems.
3. Research and development technology wind and water.
4. Planning for one year anniversary of the group.
5. General question and answer segments.
ANY MEMBER WISHING TO ADD A TOPIC SHOULD CONTACT ORGANIZER.
We should enjoy an atmosphere conducive to discussion along with a spectacular choice of foods.
Details of the February Meet-up will be posted soon. Any member that wishes to suggest topics of discussion are welcomed to contact the organizer of the group and contribute them.

Our group seems to be growing and gaining momentum. In anticipation of further growth and, in keeping with the groups policy of listening to all ideas, I would request any member wishing to put forth information do the following:
1. Contact the organizer at least 1 week prior to meet-up.
2. Must RSVP yes one week prior to meetup.
3. Limit presentation to 15 minutes with 10 minutes of Q.A.
Although it is important that our group seriously approach the meetup as a forum for spreading knowledge, actively changing the things we know to be detrimental to our existence and initiate programs that will help people better their lives, open one on one idea exchanges lead to unity and respect.
Hopefully by following the above requirements all membership should come away from the meetup with a sense of contribution. If not there is always next meetup.
