The Achieving Global Energy Security (AGES) conference at USM is the first of its kind. The conference will connect the work of organizations and individuals concerned about energy issues, nuclear issues, global warming, preemptive war strategy in general and the Iraq War in particular. This conference will provide outreach to a broad segment of the public, form links between a variety of global issues, and broaden activist networks. The goal of the AGES conference is to strengthen the support for ongoing work that promotes fundamental change of national policies. Be A Part of this Unique Event!

Plenary speakers will include:

* Michael Renner, Co-author of Worldwatch Institute's "State of the World"

* Catherine Thomasson, MD, President of Physicians for Social Responsibility

* Cameron Wake, PhD, Co-author of "Climate Change in the US Northeast"

* Keynote speaker Mary-Wynne Ashford, MD former Co-President International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War and author of "Enough Blood Shed"
