Hello Everybody,
***NOTE WE'LL MEETING IN THE 22ND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM, NOT THE SAME ROOM AS LAST TIME.***
SPECIAL PRESENTATION:
"SAVING ENERGY WITH GREEN BUILDINGS",
by Henry Gifford, an experienced and well known building engineer. Henry will analyze the weaknesses of the LEED system and present alternatives. Saving building energy is vital for our weakening economy, and this can only be done if we measure the results accurately.
Date: Tuesday, October 28, 2008
Time: 7:00 PM
Place: The Reuters Building, 3 Times Square (42nd St & 7th Ave);
Room: 22nd floor Conference Room <-- NOTE CHANGE OF ROOM!
First, thanks to the generous efforts of Mathew Varghese, we'll meet in a nice conference room in the Reuters Building. If you have a problem getting through building security, there will be a phone connection from the lobby to the conference room.
You will make it easier if you email me your real name (no net names or handles, please), so I can put it on the roster downstairs. Also, please bring photo ID. Email to [masked].
The next meeting will continue the topic of personally saving energy.
Agenda:
(1) Upcoming energy events in November, December, and January you may find interesting.
(2) Energy courses/events in the region;
(3) Latest energy news;
(4) "Saving Energy with Green Buildings" by Henry Gifford.
See you there.
Sincerely,
John Howell
