On May 14th, 2009 the Province of Ontario passed into law the Green Energy Act which among other progressive improvements to energy generation, ensures the payment for power put onto the grid by photovoltaic electricity generators of 80.2 cents per kWh for those systems less than 10 kWp. This premium is roughly ten times the price of retail power paid for electricity purchased from the grid. Read more
